Pediatric Speech Language Pathology
First Start SLP, LLC was established with the goal of providing services to children ages 0-18 with a variety of needs.
Your therapist is experienced in working with children in the medical, educational and tele-practice settings.
Here at First Start SLP, LLC, we work with the child and their family to establish goals and frequency of therapy. We heavily focus on parent/care-giver education to enhance their child's progress.
Evaluation and treatment of speech sound disorders, phonological processes, and childhood apraxia of speech.
Evaluation and treatment of receptive language disorders/delays, expressive language disorders/delays, cognitive communication disorders and pragmatic language/Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Evaluation and treatment of oral and pharyngeal feeding and swallowing, including bottle feeding, transition to purees/solids, restrictive/picky eating, etc.
Morgan Daur-Schierholz is a certified speech language pathologist, maintaining her Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) and license to practice in Connecticut and New Jersey. She graduated with her Master's of Speech Language Pathology in 2018 and has been working with pediatrics ever since. She has a passion for early intervention, AAC and dysphagia, though she is also well experienced in working with speech sound disorders, fluency, cognitive language, pragmatic language including autism, and augmentative/alternative communication.
In her free time, Morgan spends time with her husband, her twin nephews, and her cats. She enjoys being creative and has many hobbies. On the weekends, you will often find her on the beaches of Cape May.

Frequency of therapy will be determined based on the child's needs, in addition to therapist and client availability.
You will work with your therapist to determine the most appropriate location for services. Your therapist may travel to your home, local playground, library or even daycare. Teletherapy is also encouraged for clients that may benefit. Travel fees will incur and can be discussed upon intake.
Yes! Teletherapy is offered and encouraged for children who may benefit.
The evaluation will range from 60-90 minutes. Each treatment session will be 30 or 45 minutes. Length of session is determined on client need.
